He says, “We took delivery of our new Century flatbed die-cutter as part of the continued investment in our Baillieston site. This is great news for our customers, as we have been able to create more die-cutting capacity and keeps us at the forefront of the corrugated industry in Scotland.”

He continues, “The first jobs are starting to roll off the machine, which is capable of die-cutting 4,500 sheets per hour with a maximum sheet size of 1700 x 1200mm. This investment is the perfect addition to the site, following our recent installation of a new JC casemaker at the end of last year. The next couple of months will also see our new material handling line installed, completing this year’s investment programme.”

Murphy concludes, “The Scottish market is a key growth sector for Caps Cases and the continued investment in the site and our people has us on a good footing to service our customers requirements for years to come.”
